Brief biography of the instructors:
- Foteini Salmouka holds a PhD from the Department of Communication, Media and Culture (Panteion University), a MA in Cultural Management (Panteion University) and a BSc in Applied Mathematics (University of Athens). She has worked as a researcher in the fields of digital humanities in collaboration with several universities. She has published various articles in peer reviewed journals and collective folumesCurrently, she works as a Junior Scientific Programme Officer at the Innovation Office at the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos”. Her main role is to provide project management, fundraising and networking services to Demokritos’ researchers and the 44 SMEs in Lefkippos Tech Park.
- Benito Mignacca is a Lecturer in Management Engineering. He obtained his PhD at the University of Leeds (Project Management Group) in 2021. In addition to the PhD bursary, Benito attracted around 65.000€ research funding from the Major Projects Association (4.000£), the Italian Association of Management Engineering (5.000€), and the European Commission (55.000€), along with other minor grants. His research focuses on three main domains: circular economy, energy infrastructure projects, and innovation management.
- Katerina Tzortzatou works as Scientific Programme Officer in NCSR Demorktios providing fundraising, networking and tech assessment services in NCSR Demokritos researchers and Attica Tech Park Lefkippos SMEs for the last nine years. She has a MSc in chemical engineering (NTUA), MSc of Science in Materials Science and Technology (NTUA) and a PhD in environmental engineering and industrial simulation process (NTUA). She has collaborated in the past with several industries and research organizations in national and EU level. Last, she has designed and implemented so far more than 30 R&D projects in the domains of materials, energy and environment with total budget more than 40 million euro.
- Marco Di Renzo (CNRS) is a Research Director and a faculty member of the Laboratory of Signals and Systems (L2S) of Paris-Saclay University, France. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Commun. Letters, and is a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Vehicular Technol. Society and IEEE Commun. Society. He is a recipient of several awards, including the IEEE-COMSOC Best Young Researcher Award for Europe, Middle East and Africa, the IEEE Jack Neubauer Memorial Best Systems Paper Award, the SEE-IEEE Alain Glavieux Award, the IEEE-COMSOC Young Professional in Academia Award, and 8 conference Best Paper Awards. He is a Highly Cited Researcher and a Fellow of the IEEE. He was the supervisor of 25 Ph.D. students. He was the Project Coordinator of two H2020 ITN projects (5Gwireless, 5Gaura). During the last 6 years, he gave 70+ tutorials and invited presentations at international conferences. His h-index is 55+ and has 12000+ Google Scholar citations.
